How to play Page One
One card left —
call "Page One!" and the win is in sight.
Play a card that matches the top card's number or suit; the first to empty their hand wins. The special cards 2, 8, J and Q hold your opponents up, and with one card left you call "Page One". A lively card game for 2–6 players.
No sign-up, nothing to install. Enter a name and you're at the table. No opponent? Play the CPU right away.

What is Page One?
Everyone is dealt seven cards and the top card of the deck is turned up as the top card. In turn, each player plays one card matching its number or suit. If you can't play, draw one card from the deck. A 2 makes the next player draw two, and an 8 lets you choose the next suit. When you play down to your last card you must call "Page One"; forget, and you draw two. The first to play out their hand wins.

Rules of Page One
These rules always apply at our tables.
- Start
- each player gets seven cards, and the top card of the deck is turned up as the top card (a special card is never used for this).
- Playable cards
- play one card of the same rank or the same suit as the top card. The card you play becomes the new top card.
- Drawing
- with no playable card, draw one from the deck. If you can play the card you drew, you may play it at once or keep it and end your turn. When the deck runs out, the discards except the top card are shuffled into a new deck.
- 2
- the next player draws two and loses their turn. If they hold a 2 they may play it on top and pass the penalty on (four cards, six cards and so on).
- 8
- can be played at any time. When you play it, choose the next suit.
- J
- skips the next player.
- Q
- reverses the direction of play (with two players it acts as a skip).
- Page One
- when you play your second-to-last card, press "Page One" before playing it. Forget, and you draw two on the spot.
- Winning
- the first to play out their hand wins. Everyone else is ranked by how few cards they have left.
Optional rules
You choose these when opening a table.
- Special cards
- 2, 8, J and Q can each be turned off when you open the table. A card turned off plays as an ordinary card.
